Discover Bank has filed suit against Port Arthur resident Donna Mallet, alleging she owes a past due balance of more than $8,000 on her credit card.
The suit was filed Jan. 14 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, the parties entered into a card member agreement, wherein Discover made cash advances to Mallet.
The suit does not state when the parties entered into the agreement.
“Defendant has failed to repay all of the advances made under the agreement,” the suit states. “The current balance due … is $8,442.35.”
The plaintiff is suing for the balance due and all court costs.
Round Rock attorney Joseph O’Bell of Zwicker & Associates represents the plaintiff.
Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.
