A Beaumont woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims rear-ended her vehicle.

Jacqueline Fulton claims she was driving on July 5, 2011, when defendant Carly D. Perricone rear-ended her vehicle as Fulton yielded to oncoming traffic.

Because of the collision, Fulton incurred medical costs; experienced physical pain, suffering, physical impairment and mental anguish; lost wages; and endured disfigurement, according to the complaint filed March 25 in Jefferson County District Court.

Perricone negligently failed to control her speed, drove too fast, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to keep a safe distance, failed to swerve to avoid a collision, failed to bring her vehicle to a stop, failed to timely apply her brakes, failed to observe traffic signals and drove carelessly, the suit states.

In her complaint, Fulton is seeking actual damages, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Ryan C. Scott of The Scott Law Firm in Beaumont will be representing her.

The case has been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court.

Case No. B194-184
