One new lawsuit was filed in Jefferson County District Court against insurance companies during the week of May 6 through May 10.
The following complaint was filed:
• Joemendia Owens of 8690 Overhill Drive in Beaumont alleges San Antonio Indemnity Co. underpaid her claim for water damages caused to her property after a sudden and accidental discharge of water caused her damages from Sept. 4, 2011, through Sept. 22, 2011.
Owens will be represented by Jason B. Speights, Todd Worrich and W. Lee Calhoun of Speights and Worrich in San Antonio.
