Institute for Information Industry is a research institution with a principal address in Taipei, Taiwan.

The defendants are Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Samsung Electronics America Inc. and Samsung Telecommunications America LLC.

The defendant is accused of infringing on U.S. Patent No. 7,206,301 issued April 17, 2007, for System and Method For Data Communication Handoff Across Heterogeneous Wireless Networks.

The plaintiff is asking the court to issue an injunction to prevent further infringement and for an award of damages for damages, costs, expenses, interest, enhanced damages and attorney’s fees.

The defendants are TruRX, True Science Holdings and Natural Polymer International Corp.

The defendants are accused of infringing on U.S. Patent No. 6,495,176 issued Dec. 17, 2002, for Animal Food Composition and U.S. Patent No. 6,652,892 issued Nov. 25, 2003, for Animal Food Composition.

Mars is asking the court for an injunction and for an award of damages, increased damages, attorney’s fees, court costs and interest.

The plaintiff is represented by Marc L. Delflache and Dustin M. Mauck of Fulbright & Jaworski in Dallas. A jury trial is requested.

U.S. District Judge Leonard E. Davis is assigned to the case.

The plaintiff is asking the court for an injunction and for an award of damages, treble damages, interest, attorney’s fees and court costs.
