Woman slips on waxed floor, sues Hospital-Housekeeping Systems

Alleging there were no signs warning that the floor had been recently waxed, Pamela Jeanis has filed a slip-and-fall lawsuit against Hospital-Housekeeping Systems. 

The suit was filed Sept. 3 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on March 1, 2012, Jeanis was at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth when she slipped and fell on a recently-waxed floor.

The suit accuses Hospital-Housekeeping Systems of negligently failing to place warning signs.

In an amount not to exceed $1 million, the plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Houston attorney  represents her.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
