Suit focuses on local motorist's collision with electrician

GALVESTON - A two-vehicle on Galveston's East End last April has resulted in a lawsuit.

In court papers filed Dec. 10 in Galveston County District Court, local resident Raymundo Alfaro claims Reagan Francis Leroy caused said accident on April 10.

The suit shows that Leroy allegedly struck the plaintiff while driving a vehicle belonging to Thurmond Electrical & Maintenance Co., Inc. in the 400 block of Ferry Road.

Leroy is faulted for failing to keep a proper lookout and negligently failing to control his speed.

His employer is implicated in the litigation because it negligently entrusted the vehicle in question to him as well as failed to screen, train, supervise and monitor the driver.

Consequently, Alfaro seeks unspecified monetary damages.

Attorney Daniel Wilson of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston is representing the complainant, and Galveston County 122nd District Court Judge John Ellisor is presiding over the case.
