A Jefferson County man is suing over claims he sustained injuries after a car accident.
Brian Debes filed a lawsuit on Jan. 16 in Jefferson County District Court against Enterprise Rent-A-Car Co., State Farm Mutual Automobile Co., and Bretten Low, citing negligence.
Debes claims that on Feb. 9, he was stopped at a red light, located on Franklin Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in Beaumont when the defendant allegedly crashed into his car, resulting in Debes sustaining injuries.
The suit alleges that the the defendant was not paying attention to the traffic around him.
Debes is seeking damages, interest, and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Beaumont attorney Ryan M. Schaper of Provost Umphery Law Firm LLP
