Loan company files foreclosure on a Port Arthur home

A loan company has filed an order for foreclosure on a property in the city of Port Arthur. 


Nationstar Mortgage LLC, formerly known as Centex Home Equity Company LLC, filed a lawsuit Feb. 12 in the Jefferson County District Court against Dwight W. Thomas and Lucy Thomas in regards to 2627 Thomas Blvd., Port Arthur, citing an order for foreclosure.

The plaintiff alleges a loan agreement with the defendant for the property at 2627 Thomas Blvd. in Port Arthur, has not received any payment since June 11. The defendants owe $7,306.12 for back payments, or $76,396.89 to pay off the lien.

The plaintiff is seeking foreclosure on the property and other relief agreed on by the court.

The plaintiff is being represented in the case by Houston attorneys Kelly J. Harvey, Teresa L. Cannady and Mia D. Searles of Harvey Law Group.
