A lighting company is suing a Texas company, alleging nonpayment.

Security Lighting Systems, a division of Hubbell Lighting Inc., filed a lawsuit Feb. 27 in the Galveston County Court against I 45 & Calder Ltd. and Calder Road Interests LLC, citing foreclosure of a mechanic's lien, liability under Texas Property Code and unjust enrichment.

The complaint states Security Lighting sold outdoor lighting fixtures to WM Jones Construction for a construction project at 2112 Gulf Freeway S., League City, which is property owned by Calder.

Security Lighting has demanded payment from the defendants, but they refuse to pay for the materials Security Lighting furnished to the construction project, according to the complaint. Security Lighting states they are owed $37,260 from the defendants.

Security Lighting is seeking foreclosure of their mechanic's lien against the project, judgment against defendants for $37,260, costs allowed under the Texas Property Code, attorneys fees and court costs.

The plaintiff is being represented in the case by attorney W. Jason Walker of Andrews Meyers PC.
