A Jefferson County woman is suing over claims she sustained injuries after a car accident.
Ashley Denise Mears filed a lawsuit March 13 in the Jefferson County District Court against Seth Thompson Murphy and Michael E. Murphy, citing negligence.
Mears claims on June 6, she was traveling north bound on U.S. 69, when the defendant Murphy crashed into her car, resulting in Mears sustaining injuries.
The suit alleges the defendant was not paying attention to the traffic around him when he crashed into the back of her car, causing Mears injuries to her neck, head, back and body in general.
Mears is seeking damages in an amount within the jurisdictional limit, interest and court costs.
She is being represented in the case by Beaumont attorney John Pat Parsons of Lindsay, Lindsay and Parsons.
