Texas resident, Price & Co. sued after man hit by vehicle

A Jefferson County resident and a corporation are being sued after a man was struck by a vehicle.


Steven Hebert filed a lawsuit March 17 in the Jefferson County Court against Larry Webster Rice and Price & Co., citing negligence. 

The complaint states on Jan. 14 Hebert was injured while walking along the shoulder of U.S. 69 near the FM 1007 intersection in Jasper County when Rice struck the plaintiff with his vehicle.

At the time of the accident, Rice was operating the vehicle in the course of his employment with Rice & Co., according to the complaint.

The plaintiff is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.

Hebert is being represented in the case by attorney Bob K. Monk of the Monk Law Firm.
