Men claim driver on cell phone caused wreck

Two men are suing another driver for damages and injuries stemming from an accident.

Derrick Webster and Clifton Webster filed a lawsuit March 25 in the Galveston County District Court against Jacob Miller, citing negligence.

The lawsuit states the Websters were in their car on Oct. 25, 2012, when Jacob Miller collided into the rear of their vehicle at a high rate of speed.

Miller was talking on his cell phone, the complaint alleges.

The Websters sustained permanent and severe limitations, the complaint said.

The Websters are seeking a maximum of $100,000 in damages.

They are being represented by Brian H. Crockett of Newton, Jones and Spaeth.
