A Tyler County resident is suing after sustaining injuries on a roller coaster.

Kenneth Jackson filed a lawsuit April 2 in the Jefferson County Court against Carnival Americana Inc., Carnival Americana and Alan Cockerham, doing business as Carnival Americana.

The complaint states Jackson was employed by Carnival Americana and was working at the South Texas State Fair in Beaumont on April 2, 2012. While in the scope of his employment, the plaintiff was seriously injured by a roller coaster, according to the complaint.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide a safe workplace and allowed a dangerous condition to exist without warning.

The plaintiff is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.

Jackson is being represented in the case by attorney B. Adam Terrell of Weller Green Toups & Terrell LLP.
