Fire Insurance Exchange sued over water damage claim

A Galveston County woman is suing over claims her insurance company has failed to satisfy a recent claim.


Rachel M. Hudson filed a lawsuit April 3 in the Galveston County District Court against Fire Insurance Exchange, citing breach of contract. 

According to the complaint, Hudson's property, insured by Fire Insurance Exchange, experienced water damage, a liability covered by the insurance plan purchased. Hudson says FIE has failed to properly investigate or satisfy the claim.

Hudson is seeking damages in an amount to be determined by the court.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Frederick J. Castro of The Pena Law Group in McAllen.
