Moody Gardens named in negligence claim after woman trips and falls

A Galveston County woman is suing after she tripped and fell at Moody Gardens.


Sandra Lado filed a lawsuit May 6 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Moody Gardens Inc., citing negligence.



Lado claims she was injured when she fell in the parking area at Moody Gardens in Galveston on July 21, 2012. According to the complaint, Lado alleges she fell as a result of uneven and poorly maintained ground surfaces in the area between the convention center and the parking garage.


Lado is seeking damages in an amount within the jurisdictional limits, medical expenses, interest and court costs.


She is being represented in the case by League City attorney Darrell A. Apffel of Bettison, Doyle, Apffel and Guarino P.C.
