A Jefferson County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a three-car collision on an exit ramp.

Stephanie M. Donald filed a lawsuit May 22 in the Jefferson County District Court against Terry C. Erwin and Mary A. Billiot, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Donald was driving on an exit ramp from Interstate Highway 10 to U.S. Route 69 on March 26, 2013, when Billiot negligently stopped the vehicle he was driving in the middle of the road.

Donald says she successfully avoided a collision, but she was hit from behind by a car driven by Erwin and sustained injuries. The defendants are accused of negligence.

Donald is seeking more than $200,000 in damages.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Ryan C. Scott of The Scott Law Firm PLLC.
