Bridal shops in legal dispute over unpaid merchandise

Alfred Angelo Bridal is suing a wedding store after refusing to pay for merchandise they ordered.


Alfred Angelo Bridal Inc. filed a lawsuit May 28 in the Jefferson County District Court against Victor Simmons, doing business as Weddings and More, and Tieshia Simmons, individually as guarantor and doing business as Weddings and More, citing breach of contract. 


The plaintiff claims it contracted with the defendant to sell them merchandise, the defendant agreeing to pay the plaintiff for the items.


The suit alleges the defendant has failed and refused to pay the balance of the account, owing $11,591.54, plus accrued interest to the plaintiff.


The plaintiff is seeking judgement of $11,591.54, interest, attorney's fees and court costs.


He is being represented by Houston attorneys Don M. Barnett, Matias Eduardo Garcia, Sean S.V. Homrig, Ian A. McCarthy and Lawrence J. Jalli of Barnet and Garcia PLLC.
