DFW Vending sued for copying 'Baby Dolls' trademark

A Dallas company is suing over claims a Paris establishment has committed trademark infringement.


TTNA Inc. filed a lawsuit June 9 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against DFW Vending Inc. and Buddy Robinson, citing trademark infringement and unfair competition. 


According to the complaint, TTNA owns the trademarks "Baby Dolls," "Baby Dolls Saloon" and "Baby Dolls Topless Saloon," which DFW Vending used in the promotion of its establishment at Highway 271 and Airport Road in Paris.


The defendants are accused of trademark infringement, false advertising, false designation of origin, false description in advertising, common law trademark infringement and unfair competition and unjust enrichment.


TTNA is seeking damages and an injunction against the defendants using the trademarked material.


It is being represented in the case by attorneys David W. Carstens and William M. Imwalle of Carstens & Cahoon LLP in Dallas.
