A cabinet installer alleges a Santa Fe man owes him more than $6,200 for unpaid renovation work.

Ralph Chisholm, doing business as Ralph Chisholm & Son, filed a lawsuit against Jeremy B. McCollum on Aug. 12 in Galveston County District Court.  Beginning December 2012, Chisholm says he entered into a series of written and oral contracts with McCollum for a renovation project at a home on state FM 646 Road in Santa Fe. Chisholm says he agreed to fabricate and install cabinets in the house in exchange for a payment of $6,274.

Chisholm alleges McCollum has failed to pay the amount due despite written demands for payment. He accuses the defendant of a breach of contract and seeks actual, reliance and expectancy damages along with attorney fees and court costs.

Attorney Robert E. Booth with Mills Shirley in Galveston represents Chisholm.  The case number is Galveston County District Court case CV-0072604.
