Cyclist sues motorist, alleging vehicular negligence

A Texas City man is suing a Trinity motorist, alleging he was hit by the defendant while riding his bicycle.

Willie Leon Robinson Jr. filed a lawsuit June 18 in Galveston County District Court against Jeffrey Walsh of Trinity, SER Construction Partners, Ramos Industries and Enterprise FM Trust, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on June 20. 2013, Walsh was driving a vehicle owned by Enterprise FM Trust, while under the employ of SER Construction Partners, when Walsh struck Robinson in the 2600 block of 13th Avenue North, Galveston County.

The suit says the plaintiff suffered and will suffer physical injuries, physical impairment and medical expenses.

Robinson seeks a jury trial, damages between $100,000 and $200,000, plus court costs. He is represented by attorneys Jack Todd Ivey and Jacob D. Barber of the Ivey Law Firm in Houston.
