St. Isidore Research, LLC v. United Services Automobile Association 2:15-cv-01550

Plaintiff St. Isidore is based in Plano.

It asserts ownership of United States Patent Numbers 8,589,271 (the ‘271 patent) and 7,904,360 (the ‘360 patent) and alleges both patents have been infringed upon.

The ‘271 patent was issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on November 19, 2013, based on a patent application filed on February 3, 2012. The ‘360 was issued on March 8, 2011, based on a patent application filed on January 30, 2003.

Consequently, St. Isidore seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

GroupChatter, LLC v. Sensus USA Inc 6:15-cv-00863

Plano-based GroupChatter is the plaintiff.

It is pursuing legal action in response to alleged infringement of U.S. Patent Numbers 7,969,959; 8,199,740; 8,588,207; and 9,014,659.

The patents in question, all titled “Method and Apparatus for Efficient and Deterministic Group Alerting,” were issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office between June 2011 and April of this year, according to recent court documents.

GroupChatter seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

It is represented by attorney Cabrach John Connor of the law firm Taylor Dunham and Rodriguez, LLP in Austin.

Plaintiff Rothschild is based in Plano.

It claims ownership of U.S. Patent Number 8,606,503 (the ’503 patent) entitled “Device, System and Method for Remotely Entering, Storing and Sharing Addresses for a Positional Information Device” and seeks to end purported infringement of the patent in question.

The ‘503 patent was issued Dec. 10, 2013. Leigh M. Rothschild is listed as the inventor on the ’503 Patent, according to the complaint.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
