Mineral contractor sues Black Elk Energy, seeks $142,000

Contract4

A mineral contractor is suing an offshore properties company, alleging it has failed to pay for goods and services the contractor provided.

Offshore Rental, doing business as Tiger Offshore Rentals filed a complaint July 24 in Galveston County District Court against Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations, alleging breach of contract.

The complaint states Offshore rented cargo carrying equipment and provided related services to Black Elk for an agreed-upon price. Offshore invoiced Black Elk for said goods and services, the suit says, but Black Elk has failed to pay the agreed charges, resulting in an overdue balance of approximately $142,000.

Offshore Rental seeks to recover damages in the amount still owed, plus interest, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney John Seth Bullard of Orgain Bell & Tucker in Beaumont.

Galveston County District Court case number 15-cv-0771.
