A Connecticut asset financing and management company is suing a Texas transportation company, alleging negligence for damaged cargo.

Somerset Capital Group, of Milford, Conn., filed a lawsuit Nov. 5 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Reveille Trucking, alleging negligence and breach of contract.

On March 18, 2014, the suit states, Reveille received, in good order and condition, cargo to be delivered from Phoenix to Mission, Texas. According to the complaint, Reveille did not deliver the cargo in good condition as it was torn, dented, scratched and otherwise damaged.

The suit alleges the damage was due to Reveille's negligence, resulting in monetary losses of approximately $360,200 for the plaintiff.

Somerset Capital seeks to recover those damages, interests, attorney fees and court costs, plus a jury trial. It is represented by attorneys Daniela Oliveira and Dana K. Martin of Hill Rivkins in Houston.
