A Louisiana man is suing an oilfield services company, alleging unpaid overtime.

Donald R. Burlew, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a collective action lawsuit Nov. 6 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Savanna Energy Services (U.S.A.), with a regional office in The Woodlands, alleging unpaid overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The suit states while Burlew was employed by the defendant as a day rate field worker in Texas and Louisiana, from November 2013 to March 2015, he worked a minimum of 84 hours per week and was paid a fixed amount per each day he worked.

The suit says Burlew and others in the collective were not paid an overtime premium for time worked more than 40 hours per week. The complaint further alleges Savanna Energy has failed to keep accurate payroll records.

Burlew and others in the collective seek to recover overtime compensation and wages, interests, liquidated damages, attorney fees and litigation costs. Burlew is represented by attorneys Shannon J. Carson, Sarah R. Schalman-Bergen, and Alexandra K. Piazza of Berger & Montague in Philadelphia.

Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas case number 4:15-cv-03289.
