Farmers Texas Mutual sued for allegedly failing to pay client's insurance claim

GALVESTON – A motorist has filed a lawsuit against his Texas insurance company, alleging the company is refusing to pay out a claim for injuries he suffered during a crash. 

Catarino Torres filed a lawsuit on Dec. 14 against Farmers Texas Mutual Insurance Company in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas, alleging that the insurance company is refusing to pay for his injuries from a car crash. 

Torres alleged in his suit that he suffered severe injuries caused by a motorist, who fled from the scene of the crash, which occurred on Feb. 10, 2015.

Torres is seeking damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, court costs and any other relief deemed just by the court. He is being represented by Christian G. Alba of the Alba Law Firm in Alvin.
