BEAUMONT — A Jefferson County Chrysler Dodge dealership is suing a Nederland customer, alleging she failed to pay for the vehicle sold to her.

Mid-County Automotive Inc, doing business as Mid-County Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, filed a lawsuit Dec. 10 in the Jefferson County District Court against Natalie Briggs of Nederland, alleging she failed to pay for her vehicle.

According to the complaint, on June 30, Briggs acquired a 2015 Dodger Ram 1500 from the plaintiff and paid for the vehicle by delivering a check for $7,000 with the remainder financed by Ally Financial.

Although the check was deposited by the plaintiff, the suit states, the check was returned unpaid. Despite demands from Mid-County for payment, the suit says, Briggs has failed to do so, even after Mid-County having sent a letter to the defendant.

Mid-County Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram seeks damages of $7,000, plus reasonable and necessary fees. They are represented by attorney William T Green III of Houston.
