HOUSTON – An African-American woman is suing her former employer over discrimination allegations.

Chandelier Tisdom has filed a class-action lawsuit against U.S. Security Associates on Feb. 11, 2016 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas, citing hostile work environment, retaliation and gender discrimination.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between July 7, 2015, and Aug. 20, 2015, she reported to various supervisors about an incidence of sexual harassment by her second line supervisor. The suit says she was later terminated after a manager claimed she was filmed falsifying documents that were dated Aug. 12, 2015, and when Tisdom's last day at work was allegedly Aug. 11, 2015.

The plaintiff seeks the following: damages for mental anguish, punitive and compensatory damages. She is represented by Darrell W. Jordan Jr. of Houston.
