Lumber yard accuses Promenade Homes of unpaid invoices

GALVESTON — A lumber yard is suing a Houston home builder and his company, alleging failure to pay for completed work.

Bohn's Building Materials filed a lawsuit March 3 in Galveston County District Court against Promenade Homes Inc., and Ralph Stanley Davis, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, between 2014 and Oct. 19, 2015, Bohn's Building Materials suffered damages to its business due to non-payment of building materials ordered. The plaintiff alleges Promenade Homes and Davis refused to pay after multiple attempts by Bohn's to collect the total amount due for all materials the plaintiff provided.

Bohn's Building Materials seeks compensation for all damages, monetary relief of $108,030, including interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems proper. It is represented by attorneys Christopher L. Johnson and Julie M. Berkshire of Lyons & Plackemeier PLLC in Texas City.
