Shipment

HOUSTON – A Texas company is facing allegations that products manufactured for a foreign company were damaged during shipping due to insufficient packaging.

AXA Corporate Solutions Niederlassung Deutschland filed a complaint on Dec. 11 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Lectrus Corp., alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sustained damages to its business in the amount of $7,200,000 to $7,790,583. The plaintiff holds Lectrus Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly transported products manufactured for the plaintiff overseas but failed to deliver them in the same condition as when they left the defendant's facilities. Upon inspection, the suit states the products were damaged from heavy condensation due to insufficient packing.

The plaintiff is seeking general and equitable relief. It is represented by Machale A. Miller and Iliaura Hands of Miller & Williamson LLC in New Orleans, Louisiana.
