Korean company accuses Motorola of patent infringement

MARSHALL — A Korean company is suing Motorola, alleging patent infringement.

Porto Technology Co. LTD filed a complaint April 3, 2015, in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Motorola Mobility LLC, alleging the defendant knowingly infringes patents licensed under the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, Porto Technology suffered damages to its business as a result of its registered patents being infringed. The plaintiff holds Motorola responsible because the defendant distributes consumer products that contain apps that directly infringe upon multiple patents registered to plaintiff.

Porto Technology seeks trial by jury, all damages plus interest, permanent injunction to the defendant and its agents, and any other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorneys Hao Ni, Timothy T. Wang, Neal G. Massand and Stevenson Moore V of Ni, Wang & Massand, PLLC in Dallas.
