Customer alleges Kroger's negligence led to injuries

BEAUMONT — A Beaumont customer is suing Kroger, alleging negligence led him sustaining injuries when he says he fell on a store floor.

Kroger Texas, LP; Kroger Co. & K034 Kroger East/ Southwest, store owner, citing alleged negligence.

Jimmy Logsdon filed a lawsuit March 29, in Jefferson County District Court against Kroger Texas LP, Kroger Co. and K034 Kroger East/ Southwest, alleging the store failed to maintain a safe area to walk on for guests.

According to the complaint, on April 21, 2014, Logsdon sustained several injuries after slipping and falling because of a substance found on the floor of a Kroger store in Beaumont. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to keep the area free of dangerous hazards that may cause injuries to others as well as failing to warn customers.

Logsdon seeks a jury trial, damages, interest, prejudgment interest, plus all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Stephen N. Williams of Columbus Center for Justice PLLC in Columbus.
