BEAUMONT – A Jefferson County woman is suing another driver after an accident on FM 364.
Kara Valentine filed a complaint on April 5 in the Jefferson County District Court against Eljwine Marcell, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in May 7, 2014, she was traveling south on FM 364 when the defendant pulled out in front of her, causing a collision. The plaintiff holds Marcell responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to apply her breaks and other actions.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks exemplary damages, general damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Nicholas Reed of Ely & Reed PLLC in Austin.
