Credit union seeks repayment of allegedly default loan

GALVESTON – A credit union is suing a couple alleging they defaulted on a car loan.

Amoco Federal Credit Union filed a complaint on March 28 in the Galveston County District Court against Jonathan Lee Wilmox and Laurie Suzanne Wilcox, citing breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 3, 2012, it financed the defendants in the purchase of a vehicle. The plaintiff holds Jonathan Lee Wilmox and Laurie Suzanne Wilcox responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to make monthly payments in accordance to their agreement to settle their loan from the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks damages in the amount of $17,633.75 plus interest at 18 percent per annum from March 16 until fully paid, foreclose plaintiff's security interest, interest at the legal rate, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Charles E. Lobb Jr. of Murray I Lobb PLLC in Houston.
