HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston business, alleging discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Diane Rizzo filed a lawsuit April 14, in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Blues Management Inc. doing business as Dapa Family Recovery Programs, alleging the defendant wrongfully terminated the plaintiff's employment.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 5, 2012, Rizzo was hospitalized and needed to be injected with spinal injections every other Friday. In September 2013, the suit says, Dapa told Rizzo it was not a good time for her to be having medical issues, leading to her termination from employment Oct. 25, 2013. The plaintiff alleges Dapa wrote up false allegations against plaintiff, causing her to lose her job.

Rizzo seeks trial by jury, all damages, back pay, pre and post judgment interest at the highest legal rate, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Ellen Sprovach of Rosenberg & Sprovach in Houston.
