Wood Group, others accused of not paying overtime

HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges that he was not paid overtime and harassed on the job.

John McLemore filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated on May 6 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Wood Group PSN Inc., Hess Corp., and Phoenix Safety & Logistics Personnel Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and defamation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between 2012 and 2016, he worked for more than 40 hours per workweek but was not paid any overtime compensation at the legal rate as defined by the FLSA. He also alleges he was harassed and demeaned by a supervisor for reporting safety issues.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, interest, damages for defamation, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Mark J. Oberti of Oberti Sullivan LLP in Houston.
