Texas business alleges trucking company failed to deliver product

HOUSTON — A Texas indemnity company is suing a trucking business, alleging it failed to deliver a purchased product in good condition.

Starr Indemnity & Liability Company filed a lawsuit May 9, in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Paulao Trucking LLC of Arlington, alleging liability and negligence. 

According to the complaint, in February 2015, Starr Indemnity suffered damages to its business when Paulao damaged part of a shipment of cowhides during a trip from Laredo to Hartland, Maine. The plaintiff alleges the defendant neglected its duties and failed to deliver the cargo free from physical damages.

Starr Indemnity and Liability seeks a sum of $13,373.75, all damages plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorney Robert C. Oliver of Sharpe & Oliver LLP in Houston.
