Galveston County business accuses Harris County company of breach of contract

GALVESTON — A  Galveston County corporation is suing a Harris County business, alleging it failed to manufacture metal parts according to the plaintiff's specifications. 

Farmer's Alloy Fabricating Inc. filed a complaint on April 4, in the Galveston County District Court against Material Alteration Company LLC, doing business as Haygood Scientific Tool Company alleging breach of contract and misappropriation of likeness. 

According to the complaint, in August 2014, Farmer's Alloy suffered damages with its business relationship with Exxon of $3 million and was ordered to pay for damages as a result of providing Exxon parts that did not meet the required specifications. The plaintiff alleges Haygood Scientific Tool failed to provide Farmer's Alloy high-tolerance parts that were ordered based on the plaintiff's needs.

Farmer's Alloy Fabricating seeks trial by jury, judgment against the defendant, all damages, interest at the highest legal rate, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just.  It is represented by attorneys Christopher D. Bertini and K. Ross Citti of Galveston.
