Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software files copyright suit

HOUSTON – A Texas software company alleges its products were downloaded illegally without its permission.

Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software Inc. filed a complaint on May 20 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Does 1-100 citing copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as a result of its software being used illegally and without its consent by the defendants. The plaintiff holds Does 1-100 responsible because the defendant allegedly used a computer with an internet connection to acquire copies of plaintiff's software without plaintiff's authority.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, actual damages, enhanced damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Robert R. Riddle of Reed Smith LLP in Houston.
