Insurer alleges Richardson Stevedoring and Logistics Services Inc. failed to pay

HOUSTON – An insurance firm alleges that a Houston company failed to pay premiums for a workers' compensation and employers liability insurance policy.

Granite State Insurance Co. filed a complaint on June 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas against Richardson Stevedoring and Logistics Services Inc. alleging breach of contract, unjust enrichment and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages because Richardson Stevedoring and Logistics Services Inc. allegedly failed to pay it for all premiums owed for the insurance policy provided by it.

The plaintiff seeks $837,715 plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Tiffany F. Lim of Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP in Houston.
