Woman claims she was injured at HEB location

Slip02

GALVESTON – A woman alleges she fell and was injured at a League City grocery store.

Coreena Sims filed a complaint on June 6 in Galveston County District Court against the defendants alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 25, 2014, while shopping at the defendant's League City location, she slipped and fell due to a foreign substance found on the floor, causing injuries to her body. The plaintiff holds H.E. Butt Grocery Co., H.E.B. Inc., H.E.B. Food Stores Inc. and HEB Grocery Co. LP responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly maintain their facility and warn their customers of any substance on the floor that could cause an accident.

The plaintiff seeks all damages, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Sam K. Mukerji and Jonathan E. Bleyer of Mukerji Law Firm PC in Houston.
