Broadcast Technical Services Inc. accused of not paying overtime wages

Law money 04

HOUSTON – A Harris County man employed as a broadcast systems specialist alleges a Houston business did not pay him overtime.

Philip Barrett filed a complaint on June 7 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Broadcast Technical Services Inc. and William R. McKee alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between December 2012 and May, he worked for more than 40 hours per workweek but was not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Broadcast Technical Services Inc. and McKee responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay any overtime compensation at a rate of time-and-one-half to plaintiff for all hours worked.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid overtime compensation at the legal rate, liquidated damages equal to the unpaid overtime wages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Kelly E. Cook and Brad Wyly of Wyly & Cook in Houston.
