Louisiana man blames driver, transportation company for vehicle crash

TYLER — A Louisiana man is suing a transportation service and one of its drivers, alleging the driver's negligence caused a vehicle crash that injured the plaintiff.

Brian Free Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana, filed a lawsuit June 15 in the Tyler Division of the Eastern District of Texas against David Hernandez and Rush Transportation Services, alleging negligence in failing to properly control his vehicle. 

According to the complaint, on June 16, 2014, Free was he was operating his vehicle on Interstate Highway 20 when it was struck by a truck can driven by Hernandez and working for Rush Transportation. The suit says the crash caused injuries to Free and damaged his car. The suit says Free also sustained medical expenses. 

The plaintiff alleges Hernandez failed to keep a proper lookout, failing to drive in a single lane and failing to maintain control of his vehicle.

Free seeks all damages and medical expenses, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Patrick R. Jackson of Bossier City, Louisiana.
