JEFFERSON – An IRS employee alleges she was injured by a hole left in the floor by a phone installation company employee.

D'Wanda Marks filed a complaint in the Jefferson County District Court against Russell Lee Jones, doing business as Netcomm, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 10, 2015, while she was working in the course and scope of her employment with the IRS, she fell into the hole in the floor that was covered by carpet by the defendant, resulting in injuries and damages. The plaintiff holds Jones responsible because the defendant allegedly left the hole in the floor and failed to give adequate warning of any dangers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief, plus interest, costs of this suit, prejudgment interest and for all other relief to which she may be justly entitled to receive. She is represented by Tom Oxford of Waldman Smallwood PC in Beaumont.
