GALVESTON — A Galveston lumber and hardware store is suing a Houston antiques distributor, alleging the defendant owes more than $31,000.
Parker & Pompa Inc., doing business as Ideal Lumber Company, filed a lawsuit Aug. 17 in Galveston County District Court against Fineas & Clover LLC, alleging failure to comply with their contractual agreement.
According to the complaint, on Aug. 31, 2015, Parker & Pompa entered into a contract with Fineas & Clover relating to goods, wares and merchandise. The suit says the plaintiff delivered and provided certain products to defendant in the total sum of $31,174.55.
However, the lawsuit states, the plaintiff has suffered monetary damages because Fineas & Clover has refused and failed to pay the accounts due.
Parker & Pompa seeks trial by jury, damages of $31,174.55, plus pre-judgment interest, attorney fees of at least $5,000, plus $7,500 as necessary attorney fees in event of appeal, post-judgment interest and all other relief to it is justly entitled. It is represented by attorney Michael L. Wilson of Rider & Wilson in Galveston.
