JSK Marketing LLC alleges former employee used training to benefit competitor

Contract 10

HOUSTON – A Tomball printing supply company alleges a Spring man used the training he received to work for a competitor.

JSK Marketing LLC filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in Harris County District Court against Mike J. DeJournett alleging breach of contract, misappropriation of confidential information and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sustained financial injury by investing in defendant's training and that the defendant left the plaintiff's company to work for a competitor. The plaintiff holds DeJournett responsible because the defendant allegedly joined the production department of its competitor, solicited business for its competitor while still employed with plaintiff and used the recently obtained training and expertise to benefit the competitor.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief in the amount of $7,725.37, temporary restraining order enjoining defendant from continuing employment with the plaintiff's competitor, award for compensatory damages, attorney's fees and any such further relief. It is represented by James E. Jeb Brown II, Angelyn Levinthal and Will Allen Shindler Jr. in Houston.
