HOUSTON — Two kitchen workers are suing Nyam Nyam Cafi LLC and Mikhail Goryachev, a former employers, citing alleged violation of workers compensation acts.
Gennady Prygonnov and Olena Prygonnova filed a complaint on Oct. 21, in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Nyam Nyam Cafi LLC and Mikhail Goryachev alleging that the former employers violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Gennady Prygonnov and Olena Prygonnova have suffered damages for not receiving overtime compensation at the rate of time and one-half of their regular rate of pay for all their hours worked in excess of 40 per work week. The plaintiffs holds Nyam Nyam Cafi LLC and Mikhail Goryachev responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly compensate them for all work they performed.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants for all unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, pre-judgment interest, attorneys' fees and for all other equitable relief.
