Machine operator alleges oilfield service company failed to pay overtime

HOUSTON — A machine operator is suing an oilfield service company, alleging violation of workers compensation acts in failing to pay overtime wages.

Douglas Langston filed a lawsuit Nov. 7 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Archer Drilling LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, in 2016, Langston often worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving overtime pay. The plaintiff alleges Archer Drilling failed to pay overtime compensation in an amount equal to one and one-half times his regular rate of pay as required by FLSA.

Langston seeks trial by jury, unpaid wages, attorney fees, costs of court, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other appropriate relief. He is represented by attorneys Michael A.
