HOUSTON – A Harris County man is suing the KFC Corp. after allegedly eating tainted chicken.

In a lawsuit filed Dec. 5 in the Harris County 125th District Court, Robert Flores claims that he became ill last May from a 10-piece bucket of chicken he purchased at a KFC restaurant located at 6420 Westheimer Rd. on Houston.

Flores purportedly came down with food poisoning, which the suit states that he suffered for four days.

“The defendant warranted to the plaintiff and the public that the food they sell is safe for consumption,” the original petition says.

“The plaintiff would show that they breached this warranty.”

Consequently, Flores seeks $25,000 in damages.

Attorney Harry C. Arthur of the Law Office of Harry C. Arthur in Houston is representing the complainant.
