HOUSTON – A Houston consumer claims a vehicle she purchased has numerous defects.

Calien Trevino filed a complaint on Nov. 12 in Harris County District Court against Ford Motor Co. alleging that the car manufacturer violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 23, 2015, she purchased a 2014 Ford Fiesta from Autonation Ford in Houston. Since its purchase, she alleges has encountered excessive defects on the vehicle and has taken it in for repairs three times. As a result, she claims she suffered diminished value and loss of use of the vehicle, cost for repairs and out-of-pocket expenses. The plaintiff holds Ford Motor Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the defects within reasonable period of time.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of less than $100,000, necessary attorney's fees, costs of suit, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other relief she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Craig M. Patrick of Patrick Law Firm PC in Dallas.
