Female worker accuses former employer of sexual harassment

SHERMAN — A Texas woman is suing her former employer, alleging retaliation and sexual discrimination.

Kelley Berry filed a lawsuit Dec. 2 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Turner Industries Group LLC of Paris, Texas, alleging violation of of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, as a result of Turner Industries' intentional violations of the law and her termination, Berry has suffered damages in the form of lost wages and benefits, mental trauma and loss of enjoyment of life. 

The plaintiff alleges the defendant subjected her to discrimination, severe and pervasive sexual harassment, retaliatory harassment and termination for engaging in protected activity and failed to implement prompt effective remedial measures.

Berry seeks trial by jury, all damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and costs of court, plus all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorneys Robert (Bobby) Lee, Megan Dixon and Meagan Whitley of Lee & Braziel LLP in Dallas.
